Christine Cheung is a highly trained and experienced disability access consultant. Christine is a qualified Occupational Therapist. While a student, she was inspired by the positive impact of practical, thoughtful solutions to mobility and access needs. As a specialist in disability access, Christine gains professional and personal satisfaction from her work to enhance people’s life choices.
Working as a consultant from 2000, she had 10 years of experience with access projects before the adoption of the Disability (Access to Premises - Buildings) Standards 2010. Now with 16 years of experience, she knows how the building codes apply to any aspect of disability access in any building type and infrastructure.
Christine works with professionals engaged on new construction and refurbishments. These include architects, BCA consultants, certifiers, development managers, engineers and project managers. Her consulting process provides practical, cost-effective, watertight solutions for access requirements.
Christine holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from University of Sydney and a Masters of Environmental Studies in Social Planning from University of NSW. She is accredited with the Association of Consultants in Access, Australia (ACAA).
